  • Atlanta’s boom town days continue

    May 18th, 2007

Atlanta real estate continues to go strong in 2007 from the momentum of low interest rates, a strong economy and local growth. Housing values have again exceeded the rest of the country by a healthy margin and equity is increasing. While just sort of the sonic boom of the 80s, surrounding areas are experiencing high growth related to the strength of the downtown core market.

Just driving through town, one can feel the sizzle in the air as people hustle and bustle through the spring air, off to shop, dine and carouse in the greatest city the South ever spawned. Atlanta is well known as a hopping night town, because unlike most of our pious southern brethren, we have more bars than houses of worship.

Just the other night, friends and I went to the City Grill at 50 Hurt Plaza and had some outstanding drinks and appetizers while enjoying the ambience. The whole place was redolent with wealth and sophistication as the young and the beautiful were out strutting their stuff on the town. Check it out sometime.
